Adding a Hub and the Things Connected to It

Adding a Hub

You can add a Hub directly from the Things area on your Dashboard or from the Market area.

From Things Library: Scrolling through the compatible Things list, you can tap on the SmartThings icon, tap Add and it will be automatically added to your Things Library. In your Library, tap on the SmartThings icon with the gear and you will be taken to the authentication screen hosted by SmartThings.

From Discover Area: When adding your SmartThings Hub from the Discover area, simply tap on the SmartThings icon, tap "Add" and it will be added to your Things Library. From the Dashboard, tap on the Things, then tap on the SmartThings icon with the gear and you will be taken to the authentication screen hosted by SmartThings.

Tip: When on the SmartThings Thing detail screen you will see the types of Things supported by Stringify. Tapping on each Thing will will show you the compatible SmartThings devices, sensors, remotes, Sonos, etc. and their Triggers and Actions.

Granting Access to the Things Connected to your Hub

During the authentication process on SmartThings, you will need to grant Stringify access to the supported Things that you have connected to your SmartThings Hub. Simply tap the appropriate check boxes and those connected Things will be added automatically to your Thing Library.

Your SmartThings and associated Things are now ready to be connected with Stringify.
